1月8日至2月2日，深外湾区学校举办了第三届中华文化月活动。在为期一个月的时间里，同学们领略诗韵的美，感受汉字的魅力，体会语言表达的力量，通过丰富多彩的活动深入探索中华文化的博大精深，增强了对中国传统文化的热爱与认同。
The Chinese Cultural Month, organized and hosted by our Primary and Secondary School Chinese team, was held from January 8 to February 2 as a way of promoting the essence of traditional Chinese culture. Chinese culture and traditions are well blended into different events throughout the month. Students of different grade levels carried out various learning activities based on their language skills and demonstrated their learning through a variety of mediums.

汉字听写大赛
Character Dictation Competition
汉字，鲁迅先生称其“形美如画，音美如歌，意美如诗”。小学一、二年级正是初识汉字的阶段。小学部举办的汉字听写比赛，为一、二年级学生提供了感受汉字之美的绝佳机会。
初赛在一、二年级各班进行，根据听写正确的汉字数量进行累计排名，四大学院各选出优胜者作为代表进入汉字听写决赛。决赛现场，各学院的代表选手摩拳擦掌，誓要摘下“听写大王”的桂冠，场下观众则不断地为选手加油鼓劲。而飞花令、对诗活动等观众互动环节，更是将比赛推向了另一个高潮，现场师生化身诗词达人，一展满腹才华。
纵观整个赛程，无论是班级初赛，还是年级决赛，一、二年级的每一位学生，都用稚嫩的笔迹认真地书写着每一个汉字，书写着对汉字、对中华文化的热爱。横平竖直皆风骨，撇捺飞扬是血脉，他们不仅是在写汉字，更是在心中描绘着一幅幅美丽的画面，感受汉字如诗般的魅力，体会中华文化的博大精深、源远流长。通过比赛，一、二年级的学生更直观地认识到，平时的汉字学习，应当尤其注意书写的规范性和准确性。
观汉字之形，明汉字之意，悟汉字之魂。本次听写比赛已然落下帷幕，而一、二年级的学生们在积累中国文字、传承中华文明的路上，再次启航了！
Chinese characters, as described by Mr. Lu Xun, are "beautiful in form, melodious in sound, and profound in meaning". The Character Dictation Competition organized by the Primary School Chinese team provided an excellent opportunity for students in G1 and G2 to experience the beauty of Chinese characters.
The preliminary rounds were held during Chinese class, and rankings were based on the number of correctly transcribed characters. Winners from each of the four houses were selected to represent their houses in the final round. During the finals, the representatives were all eager to win the first prize, while the audience cheered them on enthusiastically. Interactive activities such as "Fei Hua Ling" (a game where players recite poetry in turns) added to the excitement. Teachers and students all showed their poetic talents.
The competition allowed students to immerse themselves in the art of writing Chinese characters and gained a deeper appreciation for the richness and beauty of Chinese characters. Their admiration and passion for Chinese culture were shown as they carefully wrote each stroke.

演讲比赛
Speech Contest
在春意盎然的日子里，我们见证了一场特别的演讲比赛。小学三年级至五年级的同学们，带着对表达的热爱和对世界的理解，用声音描绘出一个个精彩的世界，勇敢地迈出了追逐梦想的第一步。
成长的每一步都有不一样的背景色。三年级学生以“你不知道的我”为主题，分享那些隐藏在心底的小秘密；四年级学生则以“我想对你说”为题，向那些他们心中的重要人物表达自身情感；五年级学生面临两个选择：“我想快快长大”和“我不想长大”，思考成长的代价与收获。
演讲比赛的初赛在各班级内进行。选手们面对评委和同学们，用最真实、最动人的语言展示自我。评委们根据选手的表现打分，选出各年级代表进入决赛。决赛中，各年级脱颖而出的三名佼佼者展开激烈的角逐，争夺最后的荣誉。
在这场演讲比赛中，选手们精心准备并发挥出色，评委们也给予了精准中肯的点评。整个比赛现场气氛活跃，仿佛让我们感受到了一颗颗梦想的种子在春天的阳光下生根发芽。愿小小演讲家们在未来的日子里，用更加精彩的表现，书写属于自己的辉煌篇章。
In the midst of spring, G3-5 students participated in the speech contest. G3 students delved into the theme of "The Hidden Me" and shared secrets hide in their hearts. G4 students expressed their emotions to those significant ones in their lives through the theme "Words I Want to Share with You". G5 students explored the dualities of growing up by choosing between the two topic "I Want to Grow Up Quickly" or "I Don't Want to Grow Up."
The speech contest has preliminary rounds and finals. Our young contestants were all well-prepared and delivered outstanding speeches. May these young speakers continue to script their own splendid chapters in the days ahead.

2月2日，第三届中华文化月小学部颁奖典礼于学校大剧院隆重举行。聚光灯亮，小学语文组的各位老师们登台宣读获奖名单，校长刘佳、学术校长Mr. Tom Kline、小学部校长Mr. Elmer Reyes、小学部副校长Mr. Ricardo Vieira、小学课程协调员马莉莉老师和Ms. Malen Guerra为所有获奖同学颁发奖状。至此，第三届中华文化月小学部系列活动完美落幕，但我们对中华文化传承的热情永无止步。希望同学们在日后也能用心感悟汉字之美，以更加积极的态度学习祖国语言文字，用实际行动传承和弘扬中华优秀传统文化。
The Primary School Chinese Culture Month Awards Ceremony was held in our Grand Theater on February 2. The Primary School Chinese teachers came on the stage and announced the winners. School Director Ms. Luka Liu, Head of School Mr. Tom Kline, Head of Primary Mr. Elmer Reyes, Deputy Head of Primary Mr. Ricardo Vieira, PYP Coordinators Ms. Lili Ma and Ms. Malen Guerra presented certificates and prizes to all the winners.
The 3rd Chinese Culture month is now coming to an end, but our passion for Chinese culture remains. We encourage all students to continue embracing the beauty of Chinese characters, studying the Chinese language with enthusiasm, and actively contributing to the promotion of our rich cultural heritage.
