MYP Graduation Ceremony

6月16日下午，深外湾区学校十年级的同学们经历了一场意义非凡的毕业典礼，为MYP中学阶段画上圆满句号。在新学年，他们将肩负家庭和学校的期盼，开始DP大学预科课程阶段的学习，成为我校首届DP学生，在更广阔的新天地中绽放属于自己的光芒。

On the afternoon of June 16th, the 10th-grade students of SGA had an extraordinary graduation ceremony, marking the end of their five-year journey in MYP. In the upcoming school year, they will embark on a new adventure as the first cohort of DP students.

Touching Moments

当入场音乐响起，十年级同学们身着毕业服，在老师以及学弟学妹的注视下，与家长携手步入会场。

每一位孩子的成长的过程都倾注了父母无尽的爱与关怀。为了表达对父母的感恩之情，本次毕业典礼设置了一场特别的敬茶仪式。十年级的同学们向父母奉茶、行鞠躬礼，感谢他们的辛勤付出和养育之恩。

As the entrance music played, the 10th-grade students, dressed in graduation gowns, walked hand in hand with their parents into the venue.

To express gratitude towards their parents, a special tea ceremony was arranged during the graduation ceremony. The 10th-grade students served tea to their parents and bowed in respect, expressing thanks for their nurturing.

Earnest Hopes

毕业典礼上，外方校长Mr. Tom Kline向毕业生们致予了最真挚的毕业祝福，祝贺大家顺利地完成了MYP课程。展望未来，他鼓励同学们无惧困难，勇敢面对DP课程的新挑战，学校会一直与同学们并肩前行，支持大家的每一步成长。

Mr. Tom Kline, our Head of School, extended his congratulations to the graduating students for successfully completing their MYP journey. He encouraged the students to bravely face the new challenges of the DP program. Despite obstacles and setbacks, the school would always be there, supporting their every step of growth.

毕业生古瀚颐同学的妈妈苏英姿女士作为家长代表发言。她回忆起自己的儿子入读深外湾区学校后，在他身上所见证的学业进步和成长，并由衷对学校和老师的教导表示感谢。最后，她勉励所有毕业生继续在IB体系中发展自己的热爱与价值，并祝愿大家在两年后都能顺利升入理想的大学。

Jason’s mom Ms. Su Yingzi delivered a speech as the representative of parents. She recalled the academic progress and personal growth she witnessed in Jason since he enrolled in SGA, and expressed sincere gratitude to the school and teachers for their guidance. In the end, she encouraged all the graduates to continue pursuing their passions and values in DP, and wished everyone success in entering their desired universities two years later.

见证和陪伴同学们成长的吴祎老师与同学们分享了两点建议，以帮助他们更好地迎接DP课程的新挑战。吴祎老师说到，在遇到波折时，首先要调整好心态，以勇者的姿态面对问题并解决掉它；在DP的关键阶段，也要把握时机，鼓足勇气，奋力奔跑。最后她寄语同学们，不要惧怕困难和挑战，只有经历过，才能让人生更加坚韧美好。

Ms. Wu Yi shared two pieces of advice to help students navigate the challenges of DP more effectively. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset when facing obstacles. She also encouraged the students to seize the opportunity and give their best effort during the crucial stage of DP.

Ms. Jessie Gu从个人经历出发，与同学们分享了自己是如何克服对演讲的恐惧，并勉励同学们大胆追梦，勇敢地去探索未知的世界，不要被害怕和质疑阻挡前进的脚步。

Ms. Jessie Gu shared her personal experience of how she overcame her fear of public speaking. Based on her own experience, she encouraged her fellow students not to let fear and doubt hinder their progress and to keep moving forward.

毕业生代表李明达和黄婉扬同学也来到台前，一同追忆和同班同学们共度的难忘校园时光。个人项目展、十大歌手、运动会、语文戏剧……学校大大小小的活动中都留存了大家的美好回忆和成长的面貌。

Student representatives Mida and Sarah shared their memories of the unforgettable moments they spent with their classmates. From Personal Project, Top Ten Singers Competition, Sport Day, to drama rehearsal, all the school activities, big and small, hold precious memories of their journey together.

美好启程
Promising Future

深圳外国语学校（集团）党委书记罗来金、湾区学校学术校长Mr. Tom Kline和湾区学校DP课程协调员Ms. Iris Tay为十年级的同学们逐一颁发毕业证书，向同学们寄予毕业期望和祝福。

Party Secretary of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School (Group) Mr. Luo laijin, Head of School Mr. Tom Kline, and DP Coordinator Ms. Iris Tay handed out graduation certificates to the 10th-grade students.

作为深外湾区学校MYP课程的首届毕业生，十年级的同学们和学校一同成长，一起经历了无数个“第一次”。正如中学部校长Dr. Joseph Strzempka在闭幕致辞中所说的那样，成为“第一”是特别的，同学们会在过程中面临更多未知和挑战，也享受更多爱和关注。

As the first graduating class of MYP at SGA, the 10th-grade students have experienced countless "firsts" together with the school. As Dr. Joseph Strzempka, our Head of Secondary, emphasized in his closing speech, being the pioneers brings unique experiences: “When you are the first to do something, no one can ever take that away from you. Others will come after you, but it’s your footsteps they will follow in. You are the director and the star of your own show.”

在即将到来的新学年，十年级的同学们将以首届DP学生的身份迈入新的阶段，继续探究、学习、成长。愿他们乘风破浪，胸怀梦想，无论面对什么挑战，都坚信自己的才华和潜力，勇往直前，开创属于自己的辉煌人生！

In the upcoming school year, the 10th-grade students will enter a new stage as the first cohort of DP students at SGA. May they forge ahead with courage and create their own splendid journey of success!
