SGA把课堂搬到野生动物园 G1 & G3 Field Trips to Shenzhen Safari Park
跟随春天的脚步、约上老师和小伙伴，一起走进深圳野生动物园，此时的动物园里彩蝶飞舞、清风鸟鸣。本周，深外湾区学校一年级和三年级全体师生分别来到动物王国，认识了金丝猴、老虎、熊猫、孔雀、鹦鹉、扬子鳄等奇异多姿的飞禽走兽，在丰富多彩的动物世界里解锁课堂疑问，感受春天的美好。
Following the footsteps of spring, we invited teachers and friends to the Shenzhen Safari Park, where colorful butterflies were flying and birds were singing in the breeze. This week, all the teachers and students in the first and third grades of the Shenzhen Foreign Languages GBA Academy went to this animal kingdom to get to know the golden monkeys, tigers, pandas, peacocks, parrots, alligators and other exotic birds and beasts. In the world of animals, we found answers to questions asked in class and felt the beauty of spring.
不同种类的生物都有哪些特点？生物成长的过程经历了哪些变化？在第五单元“世界如何运转”（How the world works）UOI课上，一年级孩子们以野生动物园为切入点进行探索，并将实地调查的结果记录下来，探究课的认知在实践中得到理解。
What are the characteristics of different kinds of living things? What changes have been experienced in the growth process of living things? In Unit 5‘s UOI, “How the world works”, first grade students explored with living things as the starting point, and recorded the results of field investigations. Knowledge from their inquiry was put into practice.
三年级的小朋友们走到每一类动物面前总是用好奇的目光在寻找着自己的答案，时不时和小伙伴们讨论，发表自己的看法。在刚刚开展的共享地球单元（Sharing the planet），孩子们探究了动物的种类及栖息地，研究人类行为对动物栖息的影响。带着不同的疑问，孩子们进行分组探究，每个小组对五类动物进行实地调研，并将在下周的集会上分享各小组的调查结果。
Before each type of animal, the children in the third grade always looked for their own answers with curious eyes, discussing with their friends from time to time and expressing their opinions. In the newly launched “Sharing the planet” unit, the children explored the types and habitats of creatures and studied the impact of human behavior on animal habitats. With different questions, the children explored in groups. Each group conducted field research on five types of animals. They will share their findings at the primary assembly next week.
纸上得来终觉浅，绝知此事要躬行。深外湾区学校的课堂打破了学科的界限，将科学课与语言、数学等基础学科相融合，让学生在实践中培养探究精神，在实践中寻找答案。
It’s shallow to learn from books, you have to practice and learn by experience. SGA’s classes break the boundaries of subjects and integrate science courses with language, mathematics and other subjects, allowing students to cultivate the spirit of inquiry in practice and to find answers in practice.
