刘佳校长元旦致辞

亲爱的老师们，同学们，

Dear SGA Community,

大家早上好！

Good morning!

很高兴能在2022年SGA的第一次升旗仪式上看到全体师生健康、幸福、快乐地站在南方温暖的阳光中，相聚在干净整洁的校园里。

I am so glad and grateful to see all of you at the first SGA rising flag ceremony in 2022. Now we are standing healthily and happily in the warm sunshine at southern China, gathering in the clean, tidy, beautiful campus.

2021年对我们每个人来说都是意义非凡的一年。我们SGA人齐心协力，在各个领域百花齐放。学校更是在2021年年末收获“深圳市教育改革创新卓越奖”和“2021年深圳最受关注新锐学校”两项大奖。这是深外总校的规划指导和全体SGA人精诚所致的成果。

To everyone of us, 2021 is an extraordinary year. All SGA made concerted efforts and works together, we gained a great of achievements in several fields. During the last two days of 2021, SGA won two awards. One is SZ top ten schools in innovation and reformation of education, the other is SZ annual most prominent new school.

充满喜悦的辞旧迎新，新的一年我对大家提出三点期望。

Ring out the Old year and ring in the New year, I hope you follow “one two three”

一、做一个“合格的人” One, think one question, how to be a qualified person.

天地万物之事，无论何物的伊始，都是纯洁而美好的。中文字的“人”，虽然只有笔画一撇一捺，简单却意义深远。拉丁文里是“Homo”，代表人类是有智慧的。我希望大家从人的自然性和社会性去思考如何才能做一个合格的人。文明、守法、思想健康、言行得体。如何才能做一个合格的中小学生？如何才能做一名合格的教师！希望各学部各班级展开讨论、达成共识。

Everything and everybody starts with purity and goodness. Chinese character “人” only has two stooks, one to the left and another to the right. Simple but meaningful. Latin “Hamo” originally means wisdom. I hope during the first week, everybody can think about how to be a qualified person. Discuss how to be a qualified student and teacher. Hope every division, grade or class can find a central agreement on it.

二、交两个朋友“读书”和“运动” Two, make two friends: reading books and doing sports.

读书看世界。阅读一本书，打开一个世界。读书可以让我们认识自己、了解自己、接受自己、做更好的自己。年少时光，是人生中最难得的读书时光，可以专心去做一件事——读书。有一家杂志曾对全国60岁以上的老人进行过“你最后悔的事”的调查。调查结果的第一名是90%的人后悔年轻时努力不够导致一事无成。“少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲”年少或许轻狂，但不应挥霍，年少可以犯错，但不能蹉跎。

Reading book helps you see the world. One book, one world. Reading book can help us recognize ourselves, understand ourselves，accept ourselves and be a better self.

今年已经是我们戴上口罩的第三年了。病毒一变再变，使得世界重见美好的愿望一再落空。虽然我们还不清楚疫情什么时候会结束，但我们坚信寒冬一定会过去。如果你想变强壮和健康，那请和运动做朋友吧！这是我们面对“无常”世界的不二选择！

It is the third year since we started to wear mask in our daily life. Covid virus has changed again and again, our dream of back to the old normal life has failed again and again. Although we don’t know when the pandemic will end, we still have the faith that day is coming. So if you want to be strong and healthy to fight the covid back, the best way is to make a friend of doing sports. This is the simplest way we chose to face this unpredictable world.

三、拥有“三心”：信心、恒心和开心 Third, embrace three characters: confidence, perseverance, and happiness.

“世上无难事，只怕有心人”。在生活中，有很多困难在等待我们，人生中也有无数个考验。人做任何事情都来自于你是否有信心，无需自卑，不要自负，坚持自信，相信自己可以做好。

Having believe of yourself whenever and wherever, you doing things especially when you facing obstacles and tough situations.

恒者，事竟成。水滴石穿，铁杵成针都贵在坚持。恒定不变的努力看似白费力气，可日久天长，就会带来意想不到的收获。

Having persistent determination even continuing repeating simple behavior, because transforming and progress is about to happen.

当大家有信心、有恒心地做人做事，自然就会时刻开心。开心更是一种面对人生的态度，无论何时何事，我都希望大家乐观向上。

When you have those two characters, happiness is approaching. Being happy is also an attitude to the person and staff you come across in your life.

2021年我们看到的、感悟到的中国，是一个坚韧不拔，欣欣向荣的中国。这里有可亲可敬的人民，有日新月异的发展，有赓续传承的事业。2022年，我们唯有踔厉奋发，笃行不怠，才能不忘历史，不负时代，不负人民。

2021 we saw everyone of you, our country overcame unbelievable difficulties, 2022 we trust we can do better.

全体SGA人，让我们再启航，越明天！
