Letter from SLT | SGA管理层致家长的一封信

Dear SGA Community, 

Happy Holidays! 

For many of us, this time of the year is a time to be grateful, to reflect and to give thanks to those who have helped us through the year - and what a year it has been! For everyone in the school community, the challenge of moving from the small temporary campus to our beautiful new campus would have been a sizable task under normal circumstances, but this year threw a whole new range of challenges in our path.  

In our small and growing school community we'd like to express immense thanks and gratitude to our dedicated teachers and amazing staff who kept things working and moving forward even with some of our staff stuck overseas.  From SGA teachers and staff spending their summer to prepare the school for students, working to support our staff overseas, to our overseas teachers putting 110% effort into creating amazing lessons and support student learning, we are very grateful.  

We also thank the parents, for both their patience and understanding as we got up and running in these difficult circumstances but also for their tremendous support in our events, and even welcoming kids in the morning at our front gate. The parent group at SGA is the most positively active parent group that most of us have worked with in our international school careers. We owe you a huge amount of thanks!  

With 2020 coming to an end, we look forward to 2021 with anticipation. There may still be challenges ahead, but with the global situation improving and the number of teachers in school ever increasing, we can begin to look forward with great optimism.  

We anticipate being able to facilitate more parent workshops in 2021, with the global situation getting better. We plan to be closer to our parents and look forward to welcoming you to more events in the coming months.  

We would like to wish everybody a safe and happy holiday and we look forward to moving forward with you all in 2021.

亲爱的SGA社区成员，

      假期快乐！

     对于我们中的许多人来说，每年的这个时候都是一个合适的机会去反思这一年的收获，同时感谢那些在过去的一年中一直为我们提供帮助的人。对于学校里的每个人来说，从过渡校区搬到现在美丽的新校园是一个不小的挑战，在今年的特殊环境背景下，这个挑战对我们来说更显艰巨。

     新的学年，我们的学生以及教工队伍规模都在不断地扩大，在这特殊的学年里，我们要向敬业的老师和所有尽职尽责的员工表示衷心的感谢。即使部分教师滞留在海外，校园各项工作仍然能够顺利进行。从SGA的老师们利用暑假时间为学生提前布置学校、努力支持海外员工教学，到我们的海外员工克服时差投入110％的精力来备课并支持学生的校内学习，这一切的付出，我们都深表感激。

    借此机会，我们还要感谢SGA社区的每一位家长。感谢你们在学校艰难起步的过程中给予极大的耐心和理解，大力支持学校的各项活动，以及每天早上坚持在学校门口接送孩子们。SGA的家长是我们在国际学校职业生涯中遇到最积极的家长小组。再次代表学校感谢你们！

    2020年即将结束，我们期待着2021年的到来。未来可能仍会有不同的挑战，但随着全球形势的逐渐改善和学校教师人数的不断增加，相信我们一定可以积极乐观地去迎接各种挑战。

    随着全球形势的好转，我们期待在2021年能够举办更多的家长研讨会。另外，我们也会保持家校紧密联系，期待在未来几个月家长们能参加更多的校内活动。

    最后，祝愿大家度过一个安全、快乐的假期，并期待着与大家共同以崭新的步伐迈进2021年！
