再见PYP，你好MYP！SLIS 2020 Graduation Ceremony
三年前，一群可爱的孩子带着些许的憧憬来到美丽的SLIS校园，他们在这里成长、在这里探究、在这里收获挚友，在这美丽的校园度过了一千多个日日夜夜。三年的学习生活转瞬即逝，带着老师和同学的祝福，承载着家长的期望和嘱托，SLIS的首届毕业生终于迎来了他们小学生涯最重要的一天——IB-PYP毕业典礼。6月19日下午2点，深外龙岗国际部刘佳校长、学术校长Neil Bunting，全体毕业生及教师代表出席了毕业典礼。SLIS社区的家长、海外老师通过直播全程参与了这一项重要的仪式。
Three years ago, a group of lovely children came to the beautiful SLIS campus with some expectation. They grew up here, explored here, and gained close friends here. They stayed in this beautiful campus for more than a thousand days and nights. After three years of study, with the blessings of the teachers and classmates and the expectations and instructions of the parents, SLIS's first graduates finally ushered in the most important day of their primary school life -- PYP graduation ceremony. At 2 p.m. on June 19, School Director Liu Jia, Founding Principal Neil Bunting, all the graduates and faculty representatives attended the graduation ceremony. The parents and overseas teachers of the SLIS community participated in this important ceremony online.
祝福启航
下午2点，在五年级班主任姜璎珈老师的主持下，全体毕业生身着毕业礼服与现场教师代表及海外老师进行线上升旗仪式。刘佳校长代表深外龙岗国际部致开场辞。孩子们的进步与成长离不开每一位老师的辛勤陪伴以及家长们的大力支持。她寄语2020届PYP毕业生： “ 你们是不平凡、不寻常的一届，是我们一起在这个校区共度三年的第一届也是唯一的一届。我们一起经历了疫情，经历了三个月的在线学习，直到戴上口罩重返校园。希望这些不寻常的经历，能够带给你们不一样的成长，祝福你们在MYP的学习生活蒸蒸日上。”
教师代表郭韦彤老师发言时说：“回顾建校第一年，我非常荣幸成为你们的班主任，与有着不同兴趣爱好、不同性格特点、不同教育背景的你们，相聚在SLIS这个大家庭，共同进步、共同成长。时光飞逝，我仍然记得我们第一次在一起学习的情景，我们一起克服困难，一路走来，努力成为IB PYP的实践者，成为敢于冒险、不断探究的人，学会了合作、思考、关怀和欣赏他人。我很高兴看到你们的进步并为你们感到骄傲！
At 2 pm, under the auspices of the homeroom teacher of Grade 5, Jiang Yingjia, all graduates wearing graduation gown held a flag-raising ceremony with on-site teacher representatives and overseas teachers online. School Director Liu Jia made an opening speech on behalf of SLIS. The progress and growth of the children were inseparable from the hard work of each teacher and the strong support of the parents. She told the 2020 PYP graduates, “You are an extraordinary and unusual class. It is the first and only one spending all the three years on this campus. We experienced the pandemic together, and spent three months of online learning until we put on a mask and returned to school. I hope that these unusual experiences will be able to play their roles in your future study life and that you will flourish in your MYP study.”
Speaking on behalf of the teachers, Guo Weitong said, “Looking back on the first year of the school, I was much honored to be your class teacher. You have different hobbies, different personality traits, and different educational backgrounds, and we have gathered in the big family of SLIS to make progress and grow together. Time flies. I still remember the first time we were learning together. We overcame all kinds of difficulties and be persistent. We are all striving to be IB PYP practitioners, being risk-takers and inquirers. We have learned to cooperate, to think, to be caring, and to appreciate others. I was delighted to see your progress, and I was so proud of you.
感恩相遇
仪式中场，一至四年级的学生为五年级的哥哥姐姐们送上了一份特殊的毕业礼物——线上音乐会，把最真挚的关爱与祝福唱进了歌里。远在海外的老师与在校老师一起录制了祝福视频，孩子们一起回顾了三年的点点滴滴，心中涌起了深深的眷恋之情。三年的时光，有着太多美好的遇见。第一次校运会在操场上挥洒的泪水，第一次演出所有人在台下为你欢呼鼓掌，第一次独立完成的学习成果展……一幕幕如电影般浮现。还有默默守护的老师、保安叔叔、餐厅阿姨以及美丽的SLIS校园！
家长代表兰女士感谢全体老师对孩子们的关爱、教导和陪伴。她特别提到，成绩不是衡量成功的唯一标准，在人生这场马拉松旅程中，希望孩子们在学生阶段培养良好的习惯，掌握必备的技能，以终身学习的态度紧跟时代的发展。
Half into the ceremony, the students in Grades 1-4 presented the brothers and sisters in Grade 5 with a special graduation gift – online concert. They expressed the most sincere love through songs, feeling no distance when enjoying music. The teachers who were far away overseas recorded a blessing video with those in the school. The children reviewed the bits and pieces of the past three years, and felt reluctant to part. The three years have witnessed too many beautiful encounters. The tears swayed on the playground during the first Sports Day, the first performance when everyone cheered and applauded for you, and the first learning celebration done by yourself… The scenes emerged movies. Let alone the teachers, security guards, canteen attendants, who have been silently doing their job, as well as the dear SLIS campus!
The parent representative Ms. Lan thanked all the teachers for their care, teaching and companionship for the children. She specifically pointed out that academic achievement is not the only criterion for measuring success. In the marathon journey of life, children are expected to develop good habits and master necessary skills when they are students, and to keep up with the development of the times with a lifelong learning attitude.

School Director Liu Jia and Founding Principal Neil Bunting issued graduation certificates to all graduates and took a group photo. Neil sent the students affectionately and hoped that they would inherit the IB spirit and be confident in the future. Today is just the end of a short journey in life.
